Hey family, how's it going? It is going well here. I haven't got the letter you sent with the bowl info yet. Hopefully it'll get here tomorrow. That's awesome though that the Utes pulled it out. Number 2 sounds crazy right behind our old coach. The two best coaches in the nation used to coach on the same team. I got a really long letter from Aunt Julie today. That was super nice of her. Tell her thanks. I still need their address though to send them a thank you note. I thought of a few more things for my package if you could hurry and get for me before you send it.

My light blue tie that I wore when I took Darci to homecoming
The three ties Riley gave me for my birthday
The purple tie, hanky, and suspender combo Cody gave me
Take Jordan and Ryan to the DI/Savers and have them pick out ties for me too
Would you please send me a paisley tie or two?

I'm amazed at how little they care about ties here. I picked ones to bring that are really conservative and I wish hadn't. We do this thing called "corbata trading" corbata is Spanish for tie. So ties are very important. Thanks I'd love that if you would do that for me. Make sure the package gets here soon, we are running out of time before I leave!

well the big news for me here is I was made zone leader yesterday. I'm in charge of 3 districts and there are about 10 missionaries in each district. The district leaders report to me and I report to the branch presidency. Its pretty cool but I have about 5 more meetings a week now. I'm also in charge of training the nuevos, or new missionaries. I still have the same companions though to answer mom's question. My branch president is an interesting guy. He is about 5' 9'' 400 pounds and has a striking resemblance to a turtle. haha He's really nice though and he served in Argentina as well. Well I have to run. I'll be looking for the letter and package soon. Thanks so much. I'll talk to you next week.

Hey family! It is good to hear from you again. It sounds like Christmas was painfully average around the house. I'm a little upset that i can't enjoy the new TV situation for a while, but i guess its better that you got it right after I left rather then before. I'm glad to hear Pat White went out on a great note. I guess for their last home game, every one in the crowd wore white in honor of Pat's last game. Its the first time in history a player has been honored like that. I'm also glad to hear Boise state lost. I've been in an argument with a few people on which team is better, Utah or Boise.

So like I said, Christmas sounded kinda boring at home. Here things were a little different. We had a Christmas Eve devotional and Elder Bednar came. It was so cool. Then Christams morning, we had a another devotional, which Elder Holland came to. It was so awesome. I'll never forget it. Don't feel bad that I'm kinda short on details about it because I'm sending you a tape I recorded of me talking about it in detail. We had two other devotionals on Christmas day, one we all played chimes in one and that was really cool. The mission presidency talked about Christmas. The other we watched Mr. Kreugers Christmas and they made enough pop corn for us all. It was a way fun day but its been back to the grind stone ever since.

I actually did make that poster. It was a trick some of the missionaries here taught me. Oh dad, we have our devotionals in the gym not down at the Marriot Center. I don't know if you watch the local ABC news channel much anymore, but one the kids I'm with a lot, Elder Dupre, his dad is an anchor in the mornings. Well I have to go so I'll hear from you tomorrow. Thanks for the Christmas presents. They all work wonderfully. Oh by the way, I'm a little upset dad talked me into exchanging those shoes. I can only stand to wear the high top ones, so if there is anyway we could get those exchanged that would be great. Oh and send pictures! of the cats and dog too! Alright, I have to go see you later.

Hey family, sorry about the letter with only stuff I want, but I thought about that stuff right after I emailed, so I just thought of it as a continuation of the email. sorry I haven't been answering your questions as thoroughly as you would like. The thing is I get really limited time and if I don't finish and send the e-mail by when the timer runs out, then it erases it and I have to wait till next week. The Spanish is coming well. I can form just about any kind of sentence because I've learned the grammar but I have a really small vocabulary. I can read the scriptures in Spanish and understand them for the most part too. I'm really good at reading them aloud. on P days, I go to the temple in the morning for a few hours but its closed for the rest of the year now. so today we are going to go clean it later today. Last week we met Donny Osmand there. He was in our session. I forgot my camera though! oh well. He was super nice. I was impressed. Oh one more thing I would like you to try and get for me, the Prince of Egypt soundtrack, the real one. I realize you probably won't be able to get that to me by Christmas but that is ok. I'm sending a package thing for you guys today, hopefully that will get there soon. Happy anniversary too! Oh what was the BYU score? I need to rub it in on all the cougar fans around here. Well my time is almost up so I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys tomorrow!

Hey guys how's it going? Its going well here. I'll get the worldly stuff out of the way first. I heard about the JBW (Joseph B. Wirthlin) thing that the Utes are doing and I think that is the coolest thing, they have to win now! haha. Dad, I was wondering if you would copy and paste in my email after all the bowls are done a list of all the scores? ESPN will have one. I'm way glad we are playing Alabama though; I think we have a good shot against them. Ok, so what i want for c
Christmas is a simple CD player with external speakers, a list of music I'll send you this week, and tape recorder like the one on Home Alone. A lot of kids have them here and they are way cool. I can record myself speaking Spanish and send it to you. haha. I don't think they are that expensive. The camera is working beautifully. Thanks so much for that, I love it. I've got some great pictures to send you guys. Oh and in my Christmas package, I would also like some more pictures of Harley maybe with his football and Harley Davidson paraphernalia. and I want some pictures of the cats too. Make sure they are good ones too please.

Well about my companions, elder Ahmad's dad actually doesn't know he is on a mission. His parents are divorced, and doesn't talk to his dad much. So that pretty cool he's here. Elder Hurst is a simple farmer and pretty easy to get along with though. Elder Ahamd is getting on my nerves fast though. He is the slowest person on earth. He does everything at a quarter speed. He combs his hair every morning for 15 minutes and probably takes one brush per minute and just stares at himself. It is sooo weird. he also starts every sentence with, "Back in Texas", or "Texas is better than Utah because....", Finally I had to tell him, "Elder were not in Texas and no body cares." That helped haha. I saw Brett too. We actually have the same meal times so I see him three times everyday. He's doing really well and loves it here. He has gain 12 pounds already! I'm back down to 226 so I am losing weight. To answer your question about Sister Maucotel, the simple answer is "no". She is so overbearingly self righteous and an inscent know- it-all. She is not that talented either. I think if she lived here in Utah she would blend right in. She's not a stand out and kind of hard to deal with. Oh well, its all good I'm almost out of time so I'll hear from you tomorrow. see ya
